GENESEO — Alice Irene LaGrou (Papapanu), 76, of Geneseo, entered into eternal rest on January 20, 2014, at the home of her daughter, Diana LaGrou, in Henrietta, N.Y.

She was predeceased by her husband, John LaGrou on December 26, 2010.

She is survived by her children, Stephen LaGrou of Geneseo, Diana LaGrou of Henrietta, Thomas (Lynn) LaGrou of Geneseo; grandchildren, Jenell (CJ) Kosmicki, Jaime DiLella, Jesse DiLella, Allyson LaGrou, Samantha, Ryan and Sean LaGrou; great grandchildren Rowan and Riley Kosmicki; brothers, James Papapanu of Syracuse and Michael (Janice) Papapanu of Penfield; sisters, Mary Pantas and Nancy Papapanu (Bruce Winters) of Webster; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

Alice was born in Rochester, New York, on September 27, 1937, to Steven and Christina Papapanu of Webster, N.Y.

Ruth was predeceased by her husbands, Edward Rodamaker and Richard Hoppe.

He was born the son of Albert and Rose (Getsfred) Koch on July 8, 1922 in North Collins, N.Y. He married Catherine Claud on April 18, 1942.

He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Catherine “Kay” Koch; three children, Carol (Don) Hayes of Chili, Dave (Sharon) Koch of Leicester and Steven (Brenda) Koch of Indiana; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Phil in 1963; brothers, Larry, Daniel and Robert Koch; and sister, Katherine Baker.

PERRY — James D. Gambino, age 83, of Perry, died February 3, 2014 at the Highlands of Brighton Nursing Facility in Rochester.
He was born December 20, 1930 in Warsaw, son of the late Dominic and Christine D’Augustino Gambino.

Surviving are his son, Terry (Paula) Gambino of Perry; grandchildren, Morgan Gambino, Tiffany Stickley and Dreycin Gibney all of Perry; his former spouse, Rhenda Riggins of Perry; his sisters-in-law, Theresa Gambino of Perry, Virginia Gambino of Geneseo; his nephew, Mike Gambino of Perry; nieces, Barb (Joe Hageman) Vanelli of Perry, Jamie Marcell and family of Virginia, Nancy Briggs of Perry; several great nieces and nephews and his little dog and best friend, Maddie whom he loved and enjoyed walking around the Perry Village Park. He was the brother of the late Joseph Gambino, Sam Gambino, Mike Gambino and Rose DiGuardi.

Mrs. Hayes was born on September 14, 1921 in Prattville, Ala., the daughter of W. Houser and Virginia Jones.

She was predeceased by her husband Alvin J. “Red” Hayes; daughter Dolores Lattimer; grandson Mark Tubbs; brother Lynwood Jones; sister Vera Rebecca Jones Golson; son-in-law John “Jack” Tubbs; and niece Linda Golson Massey.

She is survived by her daughter, Genevieve Tubbs; son, Michael (Amanda) Hayes; grandchildren, Paula Tubbs Keppel, Kimberly Latimer, Corey Lattimer (Cindy Caldwell), Karen (Andrew) Dgien, Clay (Michelle) Latimer, Jodie Hayes (Jonathan Lennon), Beth (Greg) McCaffrey, Rachel (Aaron) Sweeney; 14 great-grandchildren; niece, Anne Golson Slifka; several nieces and nephews.

He was born the son of Andrew and Luella (Fitzsimmons) Walton on September 13, 1940 in Rochester, N.Y. He married Mary Jane Corcimiglia on May 9, 1970.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 44 years Mary Jane; eight children, Thomas (Alba) Austin of Texas, Donald (Patti) Austin of Oregon, Brenda (Jay) Osborn of Caledonia, Beth (Kenny Lane) Ramirez of Livonia, Susan (Art) Logsdon of Pavilion, David (Heidi) Eaton of Nunda, Brian (Giuliana) Walton of Portageville and Mike Walton of Avon. Tom loved and enjoyed his 21 grandchildren and his six great grandchildren. Also one sister, Nancy (Jerry) Barnhart of Dansville; several brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Luella Walton and one great granddaughter, Sophia Osborn.
